The Bill Gate's Foundation

It is often the case, especially in American culture, that an individual such as Microsoft owner Bill Gates, would forget the little people that he had roomed with at college or those who had helped him take his first few tentative steps towards the fortune he has since amassed, but nothing could be farther from the truth.
The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation is an organization designed to distribute scholarships and grants to a wide variety of recipients and it is a statement of intent from Bill and his wife that they want to give as much as they can back to the society that helped them get to where they are today.
The Bill Gates education grants, or should we say scholarships, offered by the foundation are designed to help low income students of colour; african american, hispanic, native American and so forth and the focus is definitely on academics although it has to be said that the criteria for the scholarship is nowhere near as severe as other similar programs.
Upon gaining a scholarship the payment you will receive is determined by the program that you have applied for but it will nonetheless probably amount to a few thousand dollars each semester. So, although it may not completely cover your college costs, depending upon the college you are attending, it should take a healthy bite out of the total cost, so you will have to look to top up your payments with a part time job of some kind.
If you are interested in applying for a scholarship you can find out more at the gatesfoundation.org but you should act fast though as these scholarships are highly competitive and you will lose out if you drag your feet, so if you want a Bill Gates education grant get yourself into gear because someone else will gladly take the slot you are ummin' and arrin' about!
